| This mural, commissioned in a weak moment by the City of Boston, was 90 feet tall. The patients at the mental health facility across the street had a great view of it from their windows. However, the administrators there felt that daily exposure to this particular image was not a helpful element in the recovery process. The patients themselves, though, seemed to love it.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending upon one's point of view and/or mental health, the mural is now gone. And so are the patients. The neighborhood became too pricey for either one. |
